This guide will show you how to convert MKV file to AVI format and without loss of the subtitle after being converted (Generally speaking there are two types of MKV video with subtitle: Plug-) in or embedded. Here we will do our best to the most detailed information to give to help you succeed.
1. Download MKV to AVI with Subtitle and install and run.
2. Click the Open Video button, select an MKV file.
3. Click on the button Options for configuring the output options.
4. Click the Convert button to output video file.
Details:
Before you start the program, recommends that you install the MKV codec if you want to convert MKV to AVI with subtitle both.
Options dialog box is used to explore the possibilities Select the output clip.
1. If you just want to convert MKV to AVI without subtitles. You can convert video and audio compressor compressor such as DivX XviD codec as you need. (Some video compressors and audio compressors do not work).
If you want to convert MKV to AVI file with the subtitle, you need MKV codec pack before you install the program. Select the Video compressor with "ffdshow video encoder". The other name "ffdshow Video Codec" may not work.
2. Most audio compressors may not work well. Also they do get the program to crash. MKV to AVI with Subtitle sets Microsoft ADPCM as the default audio compressor.
If you want to see the converted avi file on the DVD / DivX player, or on mobile devices, you can try to MPEG Layer-3 as an audio compressor. But was the MP3 encoder bundled in Windows made in 1997, 56 kbit / s, and not stable. If your computer has the Fraunhofer Radium MP3 codec, the conversion MKV to AVI works perfectly installed. 4. If you change the size of the output file, please contact bitrate (kbps) in the ffdshow video encoder configuration Dialog box. The Encoding bitrate is bigger, the picture becomes clearer, but the output file is bigger.
5. According to open a video file in the right lower corner of the Windows desktop, you will find 2 icons: Haali Media Splitter and DirectVobSub.
Right-click the Haali icon you can change an audio stream or Subtitle:
Right-click the DirectVobSub icon, you can change an audio stream or subtitle, or configure audio / Video decoder, or DirectVobSub filter settings.
6. If your MKV file has subtitle, and you want to convert MKV to AVI without subtitles, may Disable the auto shop in vsfilter. Choose Start-> Programs-> Combined Community Codec Pack -> VSFilter Configuration-> General -> Load -> Do not load. The default is Load when needed.
Then launch MKV to AVI with subtitle the video files to convert.
If you restore the video file with subtitle playback, the default configuration "Load when needed".
7. Finally, click on the Convert button to start conversion. When converting from MKV to AVI, please do not change, audio stream or subtitle.
