From the beginning, these new Bikers started amending the big, heavy, utility and style-oriented military motorcycle, removing parts and accessories that are not strictly necessary for the start, riding, and stopping the motorcycle.
Saddle bags, windshield, big bulky headlights and mirrors were removed. The mirrors and Lights replaced with newer and sleeker style. The old flat floorboards were replaced with our foot pegs. Front fenders were removed and the rear fenders were either removed or cropped so that accommodate just enough to get a passenger on the rear tire. The large, original front tires and gas tanks were removed, and with much smaller replaced. Exhaust pipes were being replaced. All this was done mainly to the bike easier for road and dirt racing.
