Batman Begins [VHS] $48.08 Batman Begins discards the previous four films in the series and recasts the Caped Crusader as a fearsome avenging angel. That’s good news, because the series, which had gotten off to a rousing start under Tim Burton, had gradually dissolved into self-parody by 1997’s Batman & Robin. As the title implies, Batman Begins tells the story anew, when Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) flees Western civilizat… |

"Batman Begins" is perhaps the first true and proper translation of the Batman comic to the screen. Sure, there were four previous big-screen attempt been, and even Tim Burton's Batman first of the year 1989 was a solid movie, but received "Batman Begins" we are not an exact translation of the character, as he arrived there, and for the first time, allowing him the star of the story. Previous Batman films have villains with Batman as the stars will speak to the host. In this case, Batman is themselves and by extension, Bruce Wayne, the central character. Director Christopher Nolan takes the franchise in a wonderful new direction, thank God jettison all the rubbish from the previous film, Batman and Robin, grounding, and all believe in a sense of the reality that almost could have been, it could really happen. In this film, Batman is perhaps the darkest and scariest even he is surprised to be welcomed as ever, he is almost on the verge of being the anti-hero, and by the concentration of history in this field Begins 'Batman' has a richness and texture that would not qualify the previous movie anywhere near to matching.
We begin with Bruce Wayne in a hell-hole prison, lost a man, but tries to criminal background by giving one to understand oneself. We get flashbacks to his childhood, why he was of bats, fear that the incidents are where his parents murdered in front of him (and not by the Joker in the film as Burton's) which culminated in his encounter with the mysterious Ducard (Liam Neeson), a man who offers him the way to a secret group called the League of Shadows, a Militia, the balance, if greed and corruption are to restore completely taken over the company. Upon receipt of ninja and mental training, Wayne gets then a final test to prove his worth, he must run an offense. At this point he agrees with Ducard and finally the two come to conflict, barely escaped with Wayne alive. Wayne then returns to Gotham with his education and decided to create a symbol of fear of the criminals in Gotham City, 'Batman'. As he goes Explore on the fight against crime as his alter ego, Wayne comes to that Ducard is still alive and is actually the mysterious supervillain Ras al Ghul, the one diabolical plan to destroy Gotham itself, so that it will be built in the name of justice and again. Only Batman can stop him.
The action on the surface may be quite the norm for a superhero origin story, but the first point, it flatters itself with creating three-dimensional characters, and then more and more quality Actors playing them. Christian Bale as Batman large / Bruce Wayne, and is truly menacing as Batman in particular. One sequence, where he was interrogated, a corrupt cop with a voice straight out of hell is shocking and dramatic. Liam Neeson is spot on, as well as the villains Ducard Ras, which as a foil for Batman, the effect is to Ras' Students is that ultimately rejected him. The other actors are also excellent, not quite look like Michael Caine as Alfred, a potential, but he's definitely the character of his own, Gary Oldman is completely underestimated the up-and-coming Lt. Gordon, Cillian Murphy is creepy as the second villain of the film The Scarecrow, Morgan Freeman is great as a Q 'James Bond' character, type style, Wayne helps all tools that do not fit his needs Batman, Katie Holmes, and only good. Somehow, a former Dawson's Creek star just does not fit into this type of film.
The action set-pieces in this film is spectacular, Batman's first appearance to a group of thugs and crime boss Carmine Falcone is effectively overcome, as the final sequence, which had fought Batman and Ras one last time with Batman reluctantly left his former Mentor die to save Gotham City. Surprisingly, it plays second fiddle all measures, the story covers a lot of pathos in the character from Batman, in his anxiety Bats and his guilt over the death of his parents. All this makes Bruce Wayne may seem flawed and internally conflict character ever in a superhero movie, and serves to him more depth and texture.
If this film also scores major points is its realism, Batman is just who he over a given period than Wayne Experiments with different looks and technology until he finally decides for the look and feel he really wants to enforce his crime fighting in Gotham City. Even the Batmobile looks more like an army vehicle not assaut a stylized black bat-looking car and this is all very welcome, especially if the previous film entries look, although some strengths compared to pale in comparison to this film. The scarecrow is realistic, what is actually a cartoon villain is actually represented realistic enough that you think someone could such a character.
"Batman Begins" is an excellent film in its own right, as a Batman movie, it is the only true Batman film.
