I can only manage to get this far: Press the HOME button on the remote control go to Setup and select Start. To go from the TV options and TV Aspect 16:9 Wide select the option (must be 16:9 0ption). I do not know where they are in the Contact 1397139.

Now enter 1397139 using the number keys to access the system configuration information. To change the value of those options, press the ENTER button and then use the left / right arrow key to OPTIONS 5 Change the current value of g with the UP / DOWN buttons. Now off with the remote control and then again. The recorder should now be region free. To check, go back into the system configuration information where Region Code should now be 0.

It is a widely known fact that many DVD players (players, recorders, can be unlocked, etc.) to play discs from around the world.
Currently Standard retail DVDs are usually with a region code, which is intended to be the area of the world where they can be played limited to coding. The current Scheme that the players that have DVD models only relate DVDs from the regions were the players will be sold  So easy that when you purchase a DVD player in the U.S. (Region 1) by default, should only pure play DVDs from the same region (Region 1) or DVDs that are region free (aka region 0).
Like most Things in life, the reason for this region is money and control, restriction means DVDs by region, that allows manufacturers to different versions of films in various Regions, or release films release on different dates. Many sites offer free step by step procedures, the owners of everything that makes the DVD hardware, to convert their shares region status.
The ongoing struggle of the next generation formats (Blu-ray and HDDVD) will decide in the near future, the predominant Format for future movie releases even though it noted that the final downfall of the DVD well before the imminent – we must now ask what new Restrictions will launch the new format, and ask how they will impact on consumers?
Employ collaboration with DVDs, Blu-ray discs also a region based system, but by nine numerical zones Blu-ray uses a simpler Alpha-based classification of three international zones: A (for North America, Central America, South America, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia), B (for Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia ) and New Zealand), and finally C (for India, Bangladesh, Nepal, China, Pakistan, Russia, Central and South Asia.
You might think that a much better system than the DVD region system, but we need to look outside of the regions. The famous worldwide brand Sony-developed and strongly supports Blu-ray technology – Can not forget that Sony has its fingers in just about every phase of film production, such as region coding systems are extremely profitable for Sony and it quickly way Sony brand DVD players are declared near impossible to convert region free.
Leaves aside one Blu-ray region of the system of technology is also blocked with several layers of DRM (Digital Rights Management). DRM is now common place in retail digital medium, determined in the near future DRM, what can the consumer or not purchased with their medium.
